i'd get the 1/0. i had 2 gauge this year and had some trouble with cranking when hot. the longer the cable the thicker it needs to be.

JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'LL GET DIFFERNT ANSWERS. WE RUN 2 GAUGE CABLES FROM THE REAR OF CAR TO THE FRONT RUN GROUND TO THE BLOCK AND FRAME. HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

I'm with Bubba... You can go to a welding supply store and pick up welding cable much cheaper then you can buy battery cable from the catalogs. Either 1/0 or 2 gauge should work for you (I prefer 1/0), and you should be able to go to the auto parts store to get the solder on ends for soleniod/ground and the battery. Build them and install them with dielectric grease on all connections, and you should NEVER have a problem.
