Our track just changed the tire rule to allow "any D.O.T. aproved 60 series tire." I talked to the track president and we are still limited to an 8" wheel, but we can run as wide a 60 series as we can make fit. I ran IMCA modifieds and still have some good IMCA tires and my budget may force me to run some of them. I am a bit uncomfortable about mixing bias ply and radials. I am planning to buy new radials for the rear and run the bias ply up front. Any idea of what kind of problems I can expect. Thanks.

WE RAN 275/60/15 OUT HERE FOR 2 YEARS. I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT ALL. COMING OFF 9" HOOSIERS STREET TIRES SUCKED. WE TORN THE TREADS OFF JUST ABOUT EVERY RACE FROM JUST CHUNKS TO THE WHOLE **** THING. WE WENT TO THE IMCA G 60S STIIL HAVE PROBLEM FROM TIME TO TIME BUT NOT BAD. CAR HANDLES MUCH BETTER ON BAIS PLY THAN ON STREET TIRES. JUST MY OPPION. HOPE THIS HELPS

8" wheels and 60 series tires = lots of sidewall flex
