For what? On a chebby, max about 7lbs. and I know Carters where put on Chrysler products years ago, but not sure about GM. At least not mechanical pumps. If you are looking for a "stock high performance mechanical fuel pump" to be within your track rules, get the Holley high volume. 5-7lbs. fuel pressure. More than enough for a gas engine with a two or even up to medium 4 bubble.

Gotta race on now.

carter does make a nice pump for it,it should be plenty for most gas motors. But as the previous post stated stock is adequate for alot of motors also

I would also check and make sure your fuel line isn't to close to a heat source and vapor locking. Mine did that last year.

Make shure the fuel line isn't clogged. Had that problem last year, it would run good untill the fuel bowl was empty then sputter and when the fuel bowl was full again it would run.

WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM YEAR BACK. WE RUN A BIG BLOCK PUMP ON OUR CARS WITH NO PROBLEMS BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CARB. "THE NEEDLE AND SEAT" THAT ENDED UP BEING OUR PROBLEM HAD A PIECE OF THE FOAM FROM THE FUEL CELL IN IT.WAS LETTING THE CARB FILL UP TOO SLOW WOULD RUN OUT OF GAS AT THE END OF THE STRAIGHT.

Had the same problem in the beginning of last year, I changed everything dealing with the fuel trying to fix the problem. It wound up being the fuel line(rubber)when it was run through the car it came out inbetween the coils of the rt.front spring then out the frame to fuel pump. When the car went into turns 3 & 4 the car would do just as you discribed, it was being pinched in the coils when the weight would transfer over then pic up again on the straights.

Also check fuel cell vent.
Make sure it isn't stopped up.
If you run a filter on the vent you might put a new one on it also.

Not sure if your having the same problem that I had last year, but my was doing the same thing but it wasn't losing gas it was getting to much. The float was adjusted to high and was letting the bowl fill to full and when going around the turn would let gas flow out of the bowl and flood the carb out when getting back into the gas. Had to lower the float to keep it from flowing over, not sure if this will help but may be something to check into.

no offense but you should, your carb is not tuned to its maximum potential w/ the pv blocked.
