I have new racing power steering pump and all , this is first time I have had it. Seems fine however I have not drove it but in shop when you are steering one way a suddenly go the other way you feel a hard spot and then it turn again. Will air in the system do that, will just driving it help, or is this juts common or not thanks

Get the car running, then continualy turn the wheel one way then the other. Do this for a bit and all the air should work its way out of the system.

I have changed boxes, pumps many times and this always works for me?

Hope this helps!

First, DO NOT drive the car until you get this figured out. If you can't steer the car,...

If you are really low on PS fluid, then a "catching" feel will be there. Are you sure that all your steering components are assembled okay? Double check. You may have a bind somewhere.

Do as S.J. posted. Engine running, turn the steering wheel lock to lock about ten times, then check your fluid level. Any air will work it's way out, unless you have a hose bound up, ect. Post when you get it figured out!

Race on.

if it ain't fun, then don't run
