i have a old rear steer nova,it has not been on the track yet,but soon will be.my question is there any good or bad things about having the rear steer?as far as handling goes.(tie rods behind the control arms)

I'm not familiar with the rear steer nova but it sounds like it has more parts to break or bend and weigh you down.

Rear steer use to be the thing years ago, not saying that you cant use it today, I ran a 73 Nova for 5 years or so and liked it, one thing about them though is that they need alot of stagger in stock font configuration(if not running wt jacks and tube a-arms) Eddie

I have ran a 69 nova with that steering for a year now and I did bend the drag link, but it took a head on with a spun out car to do it. I beefed it up and haven't had any problems since. The only other problem I found is that if you want to put weight jacks on it your realy tight for room if you mount the new shock on the lower a-arm.

Ringo I put the wt jacks on my 73 and had no problem at all, I ran tube uppers with it and had plenty of room for the lower shock mount on the a-frame, you might be pressed for room on the 69 dont know thought they were the same up to 74. Eddie
