Where are you at Kevin? I run Thunderhill in Mayetta, Ks. The guy you got the tranny from, is he in Tongonoxie? I thought he charged $650 for the converted 3 speeds. Our rules don't really allow running these trick trannies, but there are some who do. A mod friend of mine ran one a few years ago and he liked it. Race on.

AtomicPunk,....yes the trannies are stock, outside. The gears and clusters are changed inside. You end up with a direct drive third gear. No first gear. Shift pattern is different. If the rules at your track say "all FORWARD GEARS MUST BE WORKING, INCLUDING REVERSE", and the track officials actually tech this area, then don't think about it. First gear in these trannies do NOT work. There you have it. Race on.

Hey Kevinwardracing!!! I read you are going to be at the Mod show in Mayetta this March (rubbing elbows with the Rocket). I will be racing that event myself and maybe we can hook up and say hello? Either way, have a great season this year and giv' er' all she's got, my man! Race on.

Im finding it alot easier to get one through Jet Mod. $650, no core. And they keep them on stock, Ive called a bunch of guys who people gave me their number and most either build them on the side or they are all backed up on orders.

I don't want first i'd want second and third so that you can use it like a brinn, one shifter does reverse and then you pop the closest shifter forward to take off and then slap it back when your ready to go into high. Istock does your cluster drop out in yours?

Hey Kevin,

Yes our rules state that we CAN'T run the trannies, but do you think they really tech at T-hill? We are supposed to have a 360 cube limit too (GM) but some of the factory stocks "thump" pretty hard. If they are not strokers I don't know what is.

If my car is done in time, I'll be running that weekend too. And your right, it will probably be the best race of the season! 14p, Travis Patch was leading the race last year with a few laps to go (and flying!) when something broke. If I remember it was a twisted axle. I'll have to ask Trav. Anyway, have fun at the races, and good luck this year at Lakeside. I would love to run there, but the rules are so different, I would be REAL illegal!. Race on.
