You need to find out what the sec gear ratio is first b4 we can figure out what you turn for rpms
As far as springs go i would start you out with a 1100 lbs spring in the rf and a 1000 in the left front 175 in the lr and 200 rr offsest start with two inch in both front and a 2 on the right rear and a 3 1/2 on the lr 11 inch springs inthe rear to start but you might want to get 13 inch in casue your ride height aint where you want it

Check your input shaft for # of "lines" ....

3 SPEED SAGINAWS:
No Lines = 2.83 - 1.68 (common)
1.68 x 4.11 = 6.90

1 Line = 2.54 - 1.50 (very rare)
1.50 x 4.11 = 6.17

2 Lines = 3.11 - 1.83
1.83 x 4.11 = 7.52 (owch)

3 Lines = 3.50 - 1.89
7.77 (OWCH)

If your 2nd gear turns out to be the common 1.68, maybe consider a 3.42 or 3.73 R/P.

3.73 x 1.68 = 6.27
3.42 x 1.68 = 5.74

See if you can get someone in your division to spill the beans about what final drive they run. It all varies depending on track size, width, banking, tackiness, how much $$$ in your engine, cam range, etc.

Hope something in that helps you out.

We run a big 3/8 track and 583 are putting the rpm at 6700 with american racing tires 84 inches the 411 with the 168 will top your motor at the flag stand since this your first car you should try to get your final at about a 540 or a little less. are car is 3450 LBS and are springs ar lf 1050 rf 1200 lr 225 and rr200 52rear 52 cross 11 inch lf lr rr 12 rf should get you pretty close since you cant run spacers or jacks on the bigger tracks you should get plenty of roll on the 11 inch springs in the rear.

At Boone, during the Nationals. I bought a couple. Speedway, Jr Motorsports, are close to the same, depends on lightened, or just full spool. I bought one from Jr. in December on sale although not a lightened (or mega light as it's called) for the price of a regular full spool.

I just walk in the park and say hello to the birds on most days,... then I get serious and do the race car thing,...
