We can run any single disc clutch and have been looking in the books at different ones and a little confused. What is the difference from Quartermaster v-drive 7.25 button assembly versus a ACE 7.25 button clutch assembly? There are other ones also just trying to everything right as we need one. Got ahold of a Viper single disc but am not to proud of the condition of it. The v-drive nomenclature confuses me I guess.

I ran one of the Ace 7.25 single disc clutches in a 3500 lb. street stock. after 4 races, the disc was almost worn out. I don't think they were designed for a heavy car.

We have to run single. We are at 3200# Maybe a Quartermaster is better. Number one you don't want to ride the clutch, you want plenty of room when you take off and lets go. Never set in line with your foot on the clutch waiting. Just my two cents Running a Sag with first not there proabably won't help any. Just my two cents.

Why Coleman? Because they are cheaper or do you think they will hold up better? We had little problem with the stock clutch and a lightend flywheel but a lot of weight. Track champion at one track and 2nd at another but good equipment ahead of it. IMCA says any small single disc now but if they don't hold up there will be a different winner every night because clutches could begoing out

First of all, I am a left foot braker - I don't ride the clutch. And my car has mechanical linkage - Holding it down for a long period of time is beyond my physical attributes. These 7.25 single disc clutches are some kind of stiff! My firewall buckled everytime I stepped on the clutch. I can't think of anything I did as a driver that contributed to the rapid wear. I went to a light weight 10.5 inch set up and am real happy with it. As well as you are running, my advice - "if it's not broke - don't fix it." Congrats on the championship!
