CAN 383 PISTONS BE USED IN 355 MOTOR ,THEY WERE FORMERLY USED WITH 5.7 RODS AND A 383 CRANK ?

I wouldn't think so, the pin location should be different because of the difference in stroke.

you lost .250 stroke (or .270 from a 3.48 stroke) so if you added half of the difference to the rod length, the pin height would be right. So half of .270 is .135- add that to 5.7 and that's 5.835. So unless your block has already been zero decked or something, you could probably make it work with a 5.85 rod length. Odd, but I've heard of it before. You'd need to keep an eye on the deck height, the pistons might stick out of the hole a little if you did it that way.
