I got ahold of a Viper single disc mini clutch for SBC and looks good. Does anyone know where a person can get a new disc for it? Quartermaster and Tilton are the only ones I have heard of.

If its a viper you dont need a new disc, you need new friction pads. The disc is just a piece of steel sandwiched between the friction pads. Youll have to have someone replace them.

One of the original designers of the now defunct viper clutch is Tom, his number at his new shop is 1 618 235 2820. Tell him Jeff Joldersma gave you his number he has one of my viper clutches right now to freshen, I just talked to him friday at this number, hes still setting up his shop so if your have some time he would surely apprectiate it.

Hey, Thanks a lot. We usually run a stock 1. 1/2 clutch but now we can run a small clutch. Will ap erson maybe have to have a longer throwout brg? We use just the standard throwout arm?

standard arm, and adjust it to have your brg just off the diaphram, maybe 1/16 or so..

you must use a round brg face on any mini clutch, the flat face or stock large radius round ones wont make contact towards the ends of the fingers enough to work...

I run a steel brg from q master, a stock arm, a scattershield, and a pull slave. I like the pull slave because I can adjust the rod on it for a diff clutch easily, from stock type, to this single,a double, or triple all I have to do is adjust my rod that I added onto the pull slave!

Im sure tom can sell you a throw out brg, he also designed and sells what Ive been told is the best hyd brg out there, those just arent of interest to me.
