Just wondering at the tracks everybody runs at what the ruling is on these 2 items

1-location of the battery
2-the use of steering quickners

We used to have our battery in the back now we have to have it underneath the hood.

we can't use quickeners in our street or hobby classes. i think having the battery under the hood is a bad thing though.

No steering quickeners.
Battery cant be in Drivers Compartment, most run them behind the drivers seat or in the trunk here.

Forcing the battery to be under the hood is the dumbest thing I ever heard.

Why put a potentially explosive battery in a place that its most likely going to be involved in a wreck? Might as well mount it on the front bumper. Mine is placed in the trunk, directly above the axle centerline.

Our rules state that the battery cannot be inside the drivers compartment, so it is placed behind the drivers seat(The rear is blocked off behind the drivers seat)
As for quickners its not even mentioned in our rules

Our "purestock" rules say battery must be mounted behind driver fastened down in marine box,Dry Cell battery only.I used an old seatbelt that buckels TIGHTLY over box and connected to bottom frame which is welded to rear floor pan.Quick steer is 'optional' and HIGHLY suggested. We ran without one last year and really had to work to DRIVE the car

In the trunk (securely fastened) and yes to quickners. Don't use a quickner because of the size of track I run at (4/10's).

our battery is in the trunk area as far back as I can get it. Just inside the frame rail on the left.

We cant run steering quickeners.
