Street Stocks - $1,500 to win, $1,000 2nd, $500 3rd and on down. $100 to B-main non transfers. $100 entry. Rules will be Southern New Mexico Speedway Street Stock rules, no exceptions. Basics are 9.5 to 1 motor, 2 barrell rochester carb, 7 inch wheel and tire, any cast iron head, unported intakes, hydraulic cam and lifters, 1.250 spring, no roller rockers, 3000lb minimum, bodys MUST be stock appearing (factory made steel bodies only, no late models, prostocks, modifieds, openwheel street stocks, etc.) Check website for full rules.

The street stocks are the supporting class for the Modified Winter Meltdown.

Modifieds - $10,000 to win, $1,000 to start, $700 for B-main non transfers, $400 for C-main non transfers. IMCA TYPE rules apply (check website for details), Barnett Harley Davidson Modified Series points will be awarded. Past winners include: Jason Hughes, Ron Jones, and George White.

i don't think factory stock would be legal to run with them rules.wow what a diff.

They also have a 52 pound crank rule, and the oil pan must have a 1" sight plug.Without the plug, you would have to disassemble motor to show crank. Our rules for the most part make for a fun, and very competitive class. Our car count is usually 26-30.They do fork the rim, and tire, and do pump the motors, and from what I know they will be pumping the top 4, or 5 for sure. The track itself is pretty close to a paper clip type with somewhat tight turns. Lot's of stagger needed!
