i just bought a tilton 7.25 clutch on e-bay can i use my stock chevy throw out bearing ? its a 3 disk if it makes any difference.

you can, but you'll need to set a stop so you dont over engage it.

I had to use the longer throwout bearing to get mine to disengage.

street16 what type of bearing did you use stock style is to short it needs another 3/4"

Older Chevies usually used either a "long" or "short" release bearing. If I remember correctly you can get one for a mid sixties six cylinder pickup and it will work with the Tilton.

i found one that works great 1950 chevy truck inline 6 3 speed thanks for all the help
