Seeking any input on either of these two safety devices by people that have experiance running them? Pro's Con's etc.

Also curious on the Hans Device. Is there anyone else that carries this unit besides www.hansdevice.com

I wear a Hutchens device/harness. The first few times putting it on are the only problem with it. You just have to get used to it and have someone help you put it on and adjust it once you get in the car. Now for the important part. I have no doubts it helped save me from serious injury this year. The hit was so hard my visor flew open and my glasses came off. I didn't even have any pain in the aftermath or later.

I have a buddie in Vegas that wears a hutchins. im gonna get one for next year, I took a good lick and it snapped my head forward was wearing a neck brace and I do use a sternum strap it kocked the wind out of me a good one. Jakes liked the site, your cutting the roof out in the rebuild process reminded me of the roof hatch we put in my car cant be to safe. Eddie

lol, yeah that was the reskin project before last season. That car is gone now. I'm just about done with the new stock car. I lucked out and didn't have to do a total reskin on this car, so the transition went much faster. Gets out of the vinyl shop Wednesday.

I think I'm gonna lean towards the hans device. Much more spendy, but the tests results I've found prove to me so far. Also another quick note is, for me its a pain to get into my arm restraints, the hutchins looks like I'd be tangled up and end up missing my event.....lol. Seriously the Hans just looks a little more security, just gotta dump the load of cash...ouch!!

Most tracks do not allow mirrors on the dirt. What is the visibility restriction with these devices.

I dont like the Hans because of that reason I would be thinking you would have more side to side movement with the hutchins. Eddie
