for strength purposes i'm thinking about making the rear of my metric underslung. i was wondering if anyone has pictures of one already done or can give me an idea of how much clearance i need between the rear end and the bar underneath it. is it worth the work to do this? any suggestions

not looking to buy just looking to upgrade, basically i fig if i have to add weight i might as well add function to it weightand strength not just weight. i found what i needed from the mod guys i was just looking for an idea of how much clearance was needed between the bottom of the axle tubes and the bars underneath. nice pics of your car six, if you moved your pass side cage over a foot our cars would be identical. and i'm supposed to be running a pure stock thats what they call'em up here. not sure what actually is the stock part anymore.

I was also think about doing an underslug type thing on my car. Just for strength reasons. Cars here in Minnesota lack what most call rear frame rails. We just call them rusty stumps, cause there aint must left of them. I built mine trying to utilize what was left of the frame rails, and now the whole back of the car bows towards the ground. I few good hits is all it took for the rear hoop to sag.

Now I have to cut the whole back end off of my car and make something better. Im just worried that it will be hard to change rearends. ( I do it weekly for different tracks)

Just make it strong Rob... Because when I plow you into the wall next year you better hope it stays together!

Just kidding!

I wanted to do the same to my car but we were told NO NO NO NO NO.... Yes, in those words!

Is Button gone? maybe I'll come up there next year if he is.

dunno if buttons out or not. either way we'll be back either way with both cars for next year. i got the rear clip started and some of it is tacked in. by the time i was done i'd managed to fig out how to elimainate any usefulness of the stock frame rails from the lower control arm mounts back. not sure if jon will let me cut it right out.lol. i do know that i'll never be able to run out at lol with you guys.when all is said and done i've accidently built myself a 4link imca mod instead of a pure/street stock.so maybe it'd be better if old blind in both eyes buttons stays around.i think we are having a rules meeting again later next month, i'll find out atr the banquet on the 6th when i get my award and pity money for my first EVER top ten points finish.
