I wanted to know if anyone has scaled your race car after the race to see how much clay or mud you have picked up during the race. How much did it change the percentages .

I have found that Simple Green does about the same as mudd off and is cheaper. You can usually get it anywhere like wal-mart. Thats what I use.

I was just curious about how much weight your car picks up in clay and mud during the race. In all the areas mud off wont help. will the additional weight change your setup ?

ALOT depends on each car and how it was built and the track conditions. Saturday night our Super LM picked up over 200lbs of clay easy! We had over 5 inches of mud covering the complete nose of the car and 3 inches on the rear spoiler. You could not see the car under the mud coat, heck it took them a while to figure out who won.

i always spray wd-40 on the entire underneath of the car and the nose area and that does a fairly good job keeping the mud off.

1. How can simple green be cheaper than mud off??

mud of is 8.95 for a bottle you dilute with water..

2. I scaled my car at the track after hotlaps, forgot to spray with mud off. gained 270 lbs.

3. I pull most of it out, and as the night goes on it falls out while racing especially from contact, most Ive ever taken home on the scales after a race was 40 lbs.
