Are the s10 and metric spindles the same? I have heard by some that the s10 spindles are taller and others say they are the same. What is the right answer?

Darn. I am looking for a taller spindle with the smaller metric brakes. Was there any car with this?

I have heard that the "tall" ball joints are prone to bending. Plus they are expensive

Buy them at Auto Zone they have Lift time warrenty and they do warrenty it. Just don't tell its for a race car. I already return 3 back this year alone with no problems. And yes they do bended if you get hit on the wheel and alot of other stuff as well. Good luck. I will run them as long as i race or until Auto Zone changes the return policy

I thought the tall balljoints were only avaiable from places like allstar, howe etc. Do they have such a thing at autozone?

moog k6136 is the taller ball joint for the 2wd pickup. for everyones inf it does use a bigger bolt pattern and requires modification and drilling to fit but if done right is worth the effort in most cases because it causes negative camber gain on right front.

We were going to use the chrysler type screw in joints for more shock clearance. Might have to try the chevy one and see how the geometry works out. Thanks guys.

use the spindles off caprice, impala, and matching other big metric gm cars. just use the ones with the smaller bolt pattern. they are an inch taller than the smaller metric cars.
