what kinda rpms are you guys seeing in a hobby stock with 2 barrel how much are you doing as far as balancing the bottom end. how many ar running stock bottoms i am just starting out and on a limited budget like most every body my car has a 633 rear gear and i dont know if stoc will handle that low of a gear

722 final gear 7200 7800 and now not stock eagle crank with X rods and light wht. pistons and yes itis balenced by a great machine shop

if every thing is under control your not fast enough

627 final 6800 to 7200 rpm stock crank eagle rods KB pistons and 202 fuely heads not ballanced and done by one of the best engine builders I know. Eddie

its a 3/8 mile track i guess what i was saying i was worried about turnnig 7000-7200 with an un balanced engine with imca rules you cant gear with tires much i guess! im just
starting so i dont know that for sure keep the coments coming

Bulwinkl: We run IMCA also we have run our engines at 6800 to 7000 depending on camshaft and valves springs all we do to the motor is just bore them polish the crank and regrind if nessassary heck we even use cast pistons sometimes usually we put under 500 in a motor but we dont keep them very long either we have been claimed 8 times this year

stock parts, 6200-6300 not many problems. stock 2bbl carb wont flow much more than that.
