I have a couple sets of Schoenfeld headers that I use on my IMCA Stock Car with the same problem. The flange always warps at the two center ports. Is there a way to prevent this ? Can they be fixed ? I'm about to give up on Schoenfeld and get some Dynatechs. They are heavier but it might be better than constant exhast leak problems.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,Flyin Brian

Almost every header we have ever run dose this when they get hot, even worse if they run lean. You can straighten them with a press if you want to or bolt them on and tighten them with two gaskets under them. We just cut the flange into 3 seperate peices and bolt them up this way, it makes it alot easier and you loose about 2-3 lbs off of a set. We did ot on our last set with a plasma cutter and shapped all of the cuts to fit a gasket and then after cleanup got them powder coated, they look awsome and are easy to install and get to the plugs.
