I have ran Factory/street stocks for 4 years and ran very well, almost got a championship last year, this year went to a mod and putting together a factory for my wife.
I always ran the reduction but are the 1 to 1 pully better for gas.
here is what we run.

750 double pump carbs
double hump heads
cast intake.
mostly .530 un up to .600 solid cams
no alky, but run racing gas, usually 110 racing gas from Red Rock in OKC
torque tubes are legal
Ya kinda get the hint.

Also, will a metric rearend bolt up to a 75 chevelle frame?

Thanks

We have to make the wheel openings pretty large with the tires and wheels we ran, some guys will add 2 or 3 inches between the door and quater panel. we just make the openings a little bigger.
