Do you know anything about this race, track etc.

From reading their weekly rules this race is way opened up. Is there a track close they are trying to draw from, that has shorter wheelbase, wt jacks, aftermarket heads, 4 barrels, etc that they are allowing.

What tires are people going to be running there, it says 10 in wheels ok? their streets, sportsman run on 8s why are they opening it up so much.

I allready contacted the track to see if my imca car is going to be competitive, and I guess they havent heard of imca?

The track is a fast, high banked 3/8. I run a mod there.

This is the second year for this race, the first year went over really good. In a 100 mile radius there are 11 race tracks with different rules so they are opening the rules up so more of the cars can compete, not to draw racers from other tracks. They have tried to scheduled the race so it does not conflict with other races.

8" wheels only and may use bead lock on right rear only.

Its not that they haven't heard of IMCA, it's nobody in the area run the IMCA stock car division. Only one track in the area runs IMCA rules and thats in the modified class only.

Late Model style bodies are legal, thats what the majority of the racers are running.

rules they sent me say 10 inch wheels are ok.

are the tires they are going to run going to need a 10 inch wheel?

with the wt limit they have a lm type body doesnt matter to me, so long as there arent any linkage type cars.

here is the info for this race http://www.i55raceway.com/2004-FALL-DIRT.pdf
most cars around here are metrics with 3 link rear suspension. not to familiar with the imca stock cars but the top ruunners at this race will have fairly healthy motors
