hey what fuel filter is everyone using. I leave the fuel pump and have to inline metal filter, then to carb. That seems to be what everyone is doing around here. Tech man said every one is using the metal filter that only have a metal screen in them instead of paper. Why is this and where can you get them, all i see has paper filter inside I think. I have Pro Gauge
GF61-3m on car now but they came from race shop two hours away.

I use the fram canister type filter with the replacement filter. It's located about a foot away from my fuel cell.

Hey quietman, I found that out the hard way with my fuel cell foam falling apart. I have to have my carb rebuilt. I'm going to send it up to KClugnut. All I hear about is how good of a carb man he is and his prices are real reasonable. Who else is using one of his carbs?

I'm using 2 Earl's screen type in-line fuel, one about 6" out of fuel cell and another in between the pump and carb. Using Earl's (-8 AN) Pro-lite 350 fuel line. You can get the filters and line at Summit for $38.00 (filter) and $160.00 (20' line). It takes about 5 mins. to clean the screen, I do it after about 2 races, and it let's plenty of fuel get to the carb at all times. Hope this might help....

I just used one of his quadrajets this weekend for the first time and got my best finish of the year with it on my car at a track I've never raced at before, so that must say something about them. Great support for them too if you have any problems or questions about them.

Not only do I run a KPlugnut Kinetic Performance carb. He is a huge supporter of the Street/Pure stock classes. Dayton helps sponsor my Street stock tour. The BOSS Battle Of the Street Stocks series www.dirtstreetstocks.com in western NY. A great guy to deal with.
