i was wondering how a metric compared to a camaro on the pavement, when i was picking up my monte at the pickapart, a few pavement guys where there and when i told them it was going to be a streeter all they did was laugh, i have no intentions of racing it on pavement, i just been pondering wouldnt those guys love it if they got their behinds spanked by one. pavement track usually has 20 or 30 cars all leafs, and most of them camaro

Where we ran the rules did not allow camaros. After a local track closed the let them come in, there cars were fast but it was a toss up as to who won each week. Metrics can be set up to run as fast it is just easier to do a camaro, no rear link angles to figure out and a leaf car is easier to drive if the setup is off a little.
The track record in street stocks right now is by a 98 2dr Caprice. Was a totaled 4dr and the guy shortened it, It is a real nice car.
