Does anybody else have a max rear percentage rule at their tracks???A metric car can have a max of 47% rear and a leaf car can only have 45% at our track.3100 min.The only way around this rule is to weigh 3300 overall than you don't have a rear rule anymore.

my nova was 48 rear before adding wt.

sounds like the rear wt rule would be a cheap and easy to police engine rule really.

If I were at your track, I'd throw that trunk full of weight and get good %. We top out a full 150lbs over and there are no scales to even ck us with.

Never heard of such a rule. What does your car weigh at 47% rear? I believe I would load the trunk till I hit 3300 and get the rear% up there.

i would get as much rear % as you can then build a big motor(not necessarily an expensive one) just a big one. 406,377,383, etc.

We are limited to a 355 only ,cast heads 70cc chambers ,cast manifolds. The only saving grace is that they allow a aluminum 4bbl intake and a 4412 this year.8inch wide dot STREET tire and stock suspension ,no alterations to the mounting points whatsoever!

you'll probably have to make as much horsepower as you can with what you've got, but as much rear percentage as possible will be better 9 times out of 10

If you go with the lower rear weight I would probably try stiffer springs in the front and softer springs in the rear to be able to get more forward bite. With that little motor you probably don't want to be carrying around all that extra weight.
