2 of my buddies run them and love them, only problem is with both of them was making the compression test after the race, also takes a different manifold.

we took off some of the best flowing hump heads I've ever driven and put on vortecs
that hadrules restrictions designed to equalize the class. The difference was remarkable. But I'd warn against trying to
mix non vortec intakes with these heads. creditgoes to my speed shop for designing a
head/cam/intake/spring/lifter package that stays within the rules but developes the hp
and torque, J-Macs Performance in Montevallo
al. When your winnin everyone claims your illegal, if they only knew how cheap and legal it really is.

I've heard a rumor that GM actually has a Vortec Bowtie head that will be available soon. Don't know much about it or when they'll be in full production. I'm sure this is what the guy is asking about.

gm has been showing a performance vortec head(w/pt#) at the auto shows, but its not avail yet and will probably be outlawed from our classes for awhile.
