car was ok on entry, but still whicked sideways on the gas, any gas at all and it snaps sideways 90 degrees, on dry slick.

x 49.3 l 51.7r 53.4
t 3188

779 704
870 834
40 wedge
-------------------------------------------

another completely diff set up that drove the same off.

l 54
x 52
rear 52

150 wedge of lr over rr

---------------------------------------------

Im thinking front to rear must be way of somewhere or Im just missing something dumb, these two set ups shouldnt be driving the same terribly loose on dry slick.

1/4 rear stagger on both max.
Imca hard tires

I was going to post the same question.
we are running on a 3/8 high bank track. on dry slick It is going good in the corner but going out loose. I am just getting the info from the driver.
the car is a camero and weight is 3200. e are currently runing 1150 LF 1250 RF 225 LR 200 RR the shocks I am not quite sure what ratio they are. pros up front and the ajustable pros in the rear. I also dont know what they are set at cause those shocks kind of **** .
so I was just wondering what to ajust.

I am also wondering if there are any good stock mount shocks for camero available???

I've got a set of Carrera stock mount shocks in the rear of my camaro, several seasons old. They work great and Carrera will build them in custom lengths for about the same price.
I also have a brand new set of pro adjustables in the trailer that i have never had the confidence to put on. I have yet to find anybody who likes those shocks.

What is your wheel base side to side? We run 53 cross and up to 56% rear when it is real dry at or track . What is your spring rates ?

JohnG how much arch is in the springs an how long is the rear shackles? Also if you will check from the floor to the bolt center at the front & rear hook up of the springs an tell me what these measurements are. If you have to use 14 degrees pinion angle you have something way off.Been useing leaf springs off & on since 1970 & never had that kind of problem. Did setups on two this year an on the dry both will try to lift the L.F. from the center out. One has 4 degree pinion & the other has 6 . cd2

johnG have you checked to be sure the rear is locked up on the car? How is the driver getting into the corner, is he getting off the gas & rolling in an the car starts to get loose & the rear sliding out then he gets on the gas? Check & see if the R.R is out farther than the R.F.if so how much. Is the driver going in & has to keep the wheels turned left until the center & when he gets back on the gas the rear jumps out & he has to turn the wheels to the right to keep the car from coming around & the car comes off really loose & hung out? cd2

the leafs are mounted at the correct angle.

of my head 11-12 inches from eye to eye.

im the driver and crew im not going to try 14 degrees. maybe 9-10 if its not fixed wed.

i think a shock on the lr was hanging up limiting compression and making it go solid.

I think he is saying 14 degrees total.........7 on shaft and 7 on pinion. sometimes that's hard to get for the transmission is too low in the car. Arch in springs is not going to tell me much unless you give me how much lowering block you are running. should have about 7" arch on rr and 5 1/2 on d/s.
