I recently just got involved with dirt track racing and now crew for a guy that runs modified hobby. I would like to become a driver and want to know a little bit more about racing on dirt. Are there any websites that have classifieds that have these cars for sale or any that teach you to race on dirt? I'm a little intimidated asking the guy I pit for to let me drive his car to learn because if I wreck it I don't want to be responsible for paying for his car. If I were to wreck my own car then it just sits there until I fix it. Any help would be gladly accepted!

That's good to know that this is the best info for tech! I have already seen things that I've heard and knew how to fix but never knew what they were about (stagger, pushing etc).

Thanks for the websites! Are there any other with tips or anything about racing?

Do a search and buy some books from Steve Smith. They will help you understand how to build your own car, or if you buy one, how to make it better, and the books will help you understand what your driver is talking about when he uses racing terms. May also give you some ideas to help out yor driver get faster or handle better. Good Luck! I just ran my first race this Sat. I love it!
