I had a brand new alumimun radiator in the car when I got into a head on colision. The car was tore up pretty bad. The radiator did not get puctured and still holds pressure. However, it is very bent. The radiator brackets held, but the left front of the car was pushed up. The top corner where the cap is about two inches taller than the rest of the radiator. My car builder suggested putting it back in the car and trying to use a tie-down to bring it back in shape. Has any one had any success with a problem like this? Thank you in advance.

I was put in the wall and mine did the same thing and is not leaking and holds pres. I am still using that rad. with no probs..
So i would say use it and not worry that it is bent up, but if you start having heating probs the tubes may be pintched shut.. If that happens it will need to go to the rad. shop...

I've ran my aluminum radiator since the middle of last season warped. Just keep an eye on it.
