We cant run ours through the hood and our rules say no funneling of air so I'd say it wouldnt be something I've explored at our track. Now for some reason when I mounted my hood it has a gap that gets air under it and acts like a scoop of sorts.....nobody says anything about that to me.

The biggest problem is air induction becomes dirt induction. I would plan on getting the air somewhere that dirt isn't going to be ramming in also. Just a thought. I know most brake or other ventilation system has to be filtered very well to keep from gathering dirt. You can plug up alot of things with that one little friendly muddin by the fine driver in front of you.

I Use a stock Air cleaner Housin but Modified the snorkle to Light weight vent Pipe With elbow then Cut Hole in Fire wall where glove box would be. Now I Never Have to change Air Cleaner. pipe was about 4-6"
