HAS ANYONE EVER BUILT A MID OR LATE 80'S CAMARO OR FIREBIRD. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD HANDLE, THE REAR IS AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET TO A Z-LINK.

I have built an 84 firebird. It was a great car, I had alot of success at the local tracks with it. I found that the car hooked up better than any "street stock" car I have ever driven due the the torque arm bar and the panhard bars that are original equipment. I will agree with the last post and tell you the cars are weak you really need to do your homework when building one of these cars. I know alot of people are racing these cars and if anyone has a helpful site or link I would appreciate the info also. I am building a 1988 trans-am for the 05 season right now. I still have my notes from the 01 season but would like to hear other peoples ideas on the 3rd gen. F body cars. I can post a pic of my old car if you would like.
