I just bought a new auto gauge tach with recall and all that seems like a nice tach. Just wondering if anyone else has one. Its seems fine but a little unsteady I guess is how you would describe it. It seems just a little eraticor jumpy. Is this normal or should it be smooth.

I had an auto gauge thet did the same thing. Changed all kinds of ignition parts trying to fix it. Changed to the more expensive autometer & no more problems.

Auto Guage is to Autometer as Geo is to Chevrolet.

Its not extremely good stuff. Back in the day, I got 2 Auto Guage temp guages that never worked out of the box.

My Sport Comp Autometer is on its second car and in its 6 season and its worked with no problems.

I kinda tought that but I really wanted it for the recall feature. I generally dont look at it alot unless I have a problem but its good to know the peak rpm maybe it will hold up for that. lol thanks fellows

I run the $100 autometer. Like 17j says, if kept dry no problem. The only time it ever jumped on me was when I had a short in the wire going to the distributor, but of course the car was missing like crazy too.
