ok, so lets say you have a stock bodied metric. Need to get the %'s where you want. Where/how do you think is the best way to mount the weight? Do you stack it on the frame rails and bolt it down? Stack it along(horizontal) the inside of the frame? Or just do whatever it takes to make it stay where you want to put it? Just wondering how other guys are doing it. Thanks for any replies.

I use 3/4 all thread and stackable steel plates from wal-mart, spent 100 bucks on 300#. You can fine tune b/c the weights vary from 2pounds to 25 pounds. Its a pain trying to cut lead in half to get your weight right. I will post pics tomorrow.

i use lead and 1/2" grade 8 bolts.
drill through the frame and attach the lead
with the bolts and a washer on each side.
if prefer mounting the lead on the inside of the frame rails. 2 bolts per piece of lead.
my lead bricks weight about 60lbs each.
paint them white.

before you get too far make sure you check your rules. A lot of rules stipulate weight attachment. Examples include A) ea weight must be secured with (2) 1/2" bolts B) no more than 50# per 2 bolts, C) no stacked lead. Jsut examples but something to look into..
