do any of you guys have probles with the heat commin off of your headers? like with it heatin up brake lines and what not, this year is the first year we are allowed to run headers and well it seems pretty tight under the hood so wanna know if i am gonna have to wrap them??? or what.....

I agree with 17j. Do it anyway. I've never had a problem with the heat, but the potential problems are there. If you were planning on doing it anyway, your a step ahead of most guys.

well my season hasnt't started yet i race up here in the great white north, aka canada and well i am startin to run short on time to get the car ready... and well tryin to cut down things on the to do list.... i know that sounds bad but well thats how it is....

I took temp readings of my headers a couple years ago, then spent 200 bucks on the top of the line wrap and sealer for the wrap.

And it did absolutely nothing. The temp on the outside of the wrap was the same as the headers without wrap,

ceramic coatings work to reduce the temperature.

we run headers dont seem to have no extra heat under the hood. we have the inter fender well out though. just route brake and fuel etc line away from the headers far as you can.....later

my headers melted the ign wires yes they get extreemly hot we wsed cooltec thermal wrap itcut dowm temps by 75% thnm we also put alu. shield on top of that nowwe have no prob

have you headers coated at jet hot. we did it this year and we got about 200-250 degrees less temp on the header when hot and running. they seem to cool down alot quicker too.
