Hi, picked up a Victor Jr. and it says Bow tie on it. Is this anything special or a regular Jr. Thanks! Race

Does it have a cast number on it? That would help but im guessing it is the one designed for use with bowtie heads.

I had one. I called eldebrock & asked them what the diff was & they said it was just port matched to bowtie heads. I ran it on a set of 492s & pro 50cc heads worked great!!

I'll **** the numbers. I plan on using it on some 461 heads. Thanks, Race

The port openings on the 2972 Bowtie Victor Jr are way taller than that of the regular 2975 Victor Jr. Edelbrock specifically made the intake for bowtie heads when rules allow no porting of the intake. The regular 2975 Victor Jr has small ports so you can do your own port matching to your heads. Check out this link for manifold port reference. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/race_manifold_ref.html

Ih you run the bowtie on a set of regular heads the ports in the intake will be larger than the ones in the heads and the air/fuel mix will be hitting a wall as it tries to go by.

Mine was the same size as a 1204 fp gasket.

The # on it is 2977.(?) It does look awful large to match my heads. I'll sell this one and get a reg. Jr. Thanks, Race

I dont see a 2977 in the book but there is a 2972? If thats it then it is the bowtie victor jr intake.

I believe the 2977 is the same as the 2972, only 1" taller.
