I have a rochester 2bbl that has been opened up,and some other work done to it.Ran fine, and did a fairly good job,but I have two questions.1.It will not idle until it is warmed up to a point, and 2.some times bogs a bit on take off, which the motor is usually in the 2600-3000rpm range at that time.Any help would be appreciated.Spark plugs look good, maybe a jet off, could this be a culprit.

Probably needs air bleeds altered, jetting may be ok, but I couldn't say unless we looked at it and flowed it.
Acceleration/bog problems usually are a pump squirter issue (i.e., not enough or it's delayed).
The power valve circuit also needs to match the vacuum demands/signal of the engine it's being used on, and without your engine info and knowing what has been done or not done to the carb, I can't tell ya what is off or wrong.
A midrange hesitation, though, is usually in the power enrichment circuit, or can also be because whomever did the carb didn't remove the APT circuit or the auxiliary fuel feed tube and circuit.

Hope that helps, wish I could offer more solid advice.

OK, thanks. Just got it and didn't realize the PM was about this subject thread. Sorry if my reply in PM sounded "dumb". LOL!
I'm good at sounding that way, tho, just ask my wife. :-)
