when adding weight to the car would it be better to add the weight as far back as possible or not go any farther than the rear axel. I was told if you go back to far you will end up with the sling shot effect. what do you guys think? thanks

Mount it as far back and as high as possible. The "pendalum" effect is way overrated, especially on dirt streeters. Don't read too deep into your Steve Smith books.

The pendelum effect on a 64 chrysler imperial but not on your average 3000 pound car with normal wheel base and the like.

I have always heard to mount it as far back as possible and keep it as low as possible. Eddie

Depends on where your center of gravity is now and what you need to accomplish with the added weight. Hi, low, left, right, front, rear, dead center, etc.
