Ok, I'm not sure how much help this will be, but here's my advice:

Go Fast, Turn Left...repeat as necessary. NO LIFTING!!!!

Above all, relax and just have fun!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drive smart, get the feel of the car and the track, not much experience gained in a few laps raced and then the rest watched. Do what you are comfortable with and focus on finishing more than winning at this point. HAVE FUN FIRST AND FOREMOST. Good luck, oh, and most of all, try to get some rest, lol

Go fast, turn left, sticky side down!

Seriously though, if it's your first time out, stay to the inside, lift early and keep a steady line. The thing every driver hates is a newbie trying to run flat out in the racing groove. Some of the.. umm.. less friendly guys will punt you if you run the middle>top of the track.

Take it easy in warm ups, step a little harder into it in the heat and slowly increase speed through the feature. The best thing I found was finding another car to follow and watch what he does. If any of your friends race, try and follow them for a lap or 2 and pay attention to where they let up, turn, counter steer etc etc.

I remember my first race.....I was a nervous wreck too! ( I usually still am before a race)

Just take it easy at first. Get a feel for whats going on out there. You probably wont win your first race, so dont try too, just try to get comfortable in the car.

I like the idea of following someone. I did, and still do that. If I go to a new track thats what I do. And I tried out a modified last year and found one of the better (not the fastest) drivers and followed him. watch what they do, and see how you feel in it. If it seems to be too much, just slow down and go to the bottom of the track....

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

Whats the old saying, to finish first, you must first finish? This goes a long ways,in the beginning patience is every thing, take your time and have fun,
