anyone have a prefrense as to mounting,to the cage? verses to the scin its self?

I have some rub bars mounted threw the door skin and attached to the door bars. I've seen them with a bolt so you can remove them. I made them so they insert into a bigger tube and put a little weld on them so they can be removed if needed. Saved the side last year , only to deflect the hit into the rear and cause a broke axle.

If you mount them to the skin you will have a good chance of loosing the whole body in a minor rub. Mount it to the cage.

Ours are mounted to the cage, with bolts so you can remove them.....I prefer to run them!

If you can't work em in close & git em in your face with their orange landing gear down, don't bother taking the safety off......

Run them. Get some spuds welded to the cage, and then match the bar up to that. We have to run pins thru ours or use grade 8 3/8 bolts and nut them. They seem to save alot of body work, as long as they are far enough out from the body, but yet not far enough out to catch on other cars
