I was wondering what the rules are at your home track on intake manifolds.I run a Ford in a factory stock class and the rules state that cast iron only.Chevy makes the marine high rise and nobody else does.I have been trying to get it changed so we can run aluminum intakes so the playing feild can be evened out .Just wondering what the rules are at other tracks.

same here. try to find a mexican 302 intake for a 302 block or a mexican 351w intake for a 351w block. they are kind of tough to find but the ports are bigger. if you find one you can hog it out and have it shot peened and the tech guys will never know because they don't have one to compare it with, not that i would advocate cheating.........lol.

At our home track we can only run factory intakes....cast or aluminum.

But the other two tracks let you run any intake you want.

I wish they'd get together.

we run hobby at one track and they allow the bowtie intake, at another track we go to they dont allow the bowtie i guess because it wasnt use for cars or trucks.....i seen a high rise 2 barrel intake in a buddies shop the other day and i think that would be a great purestock type intake, it was like an inch and a half taller than any cast 2barrel intake i have ever seen(came off of a school bus)

Our track only allows cast iron OEM intakes and states NO MARINE intakes. But then there are the guys that run the high rise marine intake and say it is a gray area, because they are not running it on a marine motor or in the water. Whatever makes them feel better about cheating I guess.

We are allowed to run a aluminum Weiand Stealth with a 4412 carb with 882 heads and Hoosier e mods tires or a cast intake and a rochester 2bbl with better heads like 441 but on street tire only.9 features so far this year we have won 5 with the 1st combo. The 3 tracks in our area have the same rules on the 1st combo but only 2 of the tracks have the choice of the 2nd combo. The cast combo was our only choice last year, but our team made the switch on both of our cars to the aluminum combo.
