No not all sprint car drivers are like that. I know alot of them personally that share what they do to their cars. I think (my OPINION) that hobby stock drivers are the ones all about secrets, even with their friends. I know a couple of hobby drivers that will lie to their friends because they think that they will do the same thing.. Well is NOT only about what you do to your car and how you have it set up , it has alot to do with THE WAY YOU DRIVE and the way the track is...

Exactly right! No matter how good the set-up was for the heat race, the track changes for the features. It also takes knowledge and skill to figure out if the track is going to change by laying down rubber versus staying dry-slick and adjusting the car accordingly.

However, the best racers tend to keep things like torsion bar sizes and shock combinations a secret. No sense if giving your competitors a "free" ride on your set-up abilities.
