What is the best way to add to a shop. I have a 20x30 now and can add another 30x40. What type of structure should I put up? Pole, prefab steel, stick,or block?

Thats a good problem to have....LOL

I don't think there is really one "best"....which one would be best for you really depends on a lot of things.....just have to decide which best meets your criteria.......

What do you have now?? Location?? If you are in a residential area, what codes do you have to meet?? Intended purpose?? Ceiling height?? You want something that will fit in nicely and add to your property value.

Pole would be cheapest initially..... but may not be the best if you want a "finished" interior later....

Pre-fab steel has alot going for it....Fast, easy clear-span,easy height, and fire resistant....great for a fab shop......
But, You might want to wait awhile, the steel prices are through the roof right now........

Stick looks best....and is easiest to do, if you are going to do the work yourself.......also easier to have a "finished" interior and to insulate.......

Block would be last on my list.......mostly because of the expense of insulating.....

Good Luck,
