I have a bandit and I love it. I have no problems seeing whatever I'm looking at.

I have the bandit and love it also, but check to make sure if the tracks you are running require a certain rating.

I would spend the extra money and get a SA-00 rated model, they are about $50 more than a M-00 helmet.

The SA-00 is nomex lined.
The M-00 is nylon lined.

I agree on the nomex lined helmet also. I think I paid 450 for mine but it is nice.
Another thing I do to keep my helment from getting sand blasted is use the cloth tape (1.25" wide i think) (not the vinyl kind either) used for taping ankles up (you can buy the stuff at walmart). I cut pieces of the tape and stick it to the whole front of the helmet. It usually takes about 5 minutes to do it but you dont have to change it every week. The stuff pulls right off with no sticky residue. Other people really cant tell it's on the helment unless they come look at you in the car.

'M' rated helmets are for motorcycles. 'SA' rated helmets are for automobile racing. The shell is supposed to be designed differently for the different uses.

The only thing I'd tell you is that I have a lens fogging problem with my Bell Racestar 3. Unless I use anti-fog every week I have to tilt the lens up every couple laps to clear it.

I have a G-Force helmet and really like it, it also came with the nose guard which is replacable and keeps the sheild fog free. Eddie

I ended up with a Pyrotect helment - was happy with their prices and sponsorship opportunity. I don't like the seal around the shield, but they send extra stripping and I'm too lazy to install it so I can't hold that against them.

Definately get a "SA" over an "M" - SA's will keep you safer in a fire vs. an M. SA's are designed for the quick impact of slamming your head on a steel tube where an M is designed to have your head slide on asphalt. Also an SA has (generally) a smaller eyeport that usually isn't DOT legal, but protects your face more in the event of debris coming in on you.
