Moving to new class. The cam must pull 15 inches of vacuum at 1,000 rpm.....450 lift max with a 1.5 rocker arm. Anybody have any
cams to suggest. Must be a hydraulic and it is in a small block chevy.

with a 450 lift you wont have any vacum problems. just keep duration lower than 284 and you wont have to worry about power robbing lobe seperations.

What cubic inch, heads,intake,carb,header ?

355 cubic inch, 441 chevy heads, stock gm spreadbore iron intake-non EGR, stock quadrajet 750, have headers now but must run manifolds.

the speed-pro fmp cs1138r is a good cam for that rule the specs are .465 lift, thats the same one i used and a freind uses it too and we both got checked by tech inspector and it came out to .450 acorrding to his gauge. it it pulled 16 inch of vac with stock hyd lifters. Do they tech both or just vac, most tech inspectors dont get to carried away with messering alot of things, if they just test vacume, i go with comp cam# 12- 268-4. is a real strong cam with laots of torque it will pull 15 inch of va too.

They will tech lift at the valve and vacuum. They even had a reminder to not put 1.6 rockers on your .450 lift as that will make it .480 lft with the 1.6's annnd .450 lift with the 1.5's. The track says they are going to check the lift. The craazy thing is .480 lift or .450 lift don't mean that dang much I can assure you.
