I've seen a few really nice looking street stock and hobby stock cars with what looks like professionally made aluminum side skirts on them. Does anyone know any place that makes and sells them for metric cars?

Ya I`ve seen what looks to be ground affects (sort of)on streets and pures. I may be completely wrong here but I know a couple of guys who weld 18 or 20 gauge sheet metal along the bottom of there cars to make that effect. They start the sheet right were the door and fender start to angle in, but like I said i could be wrong. Anyone else??

I, and a couple of friend who have cars, take sheet metal, 12-18 inches wide, and bend it so it looks how you would want it to look, usually so its perpendicular to the ground, and rivet it to the bottom of the car. Basically, its a preference of how you want it to look. I like how it looks on my car, seems to give it more of a sleek look, and makes it look more like NASCAR. If you give me your email I can show you some examples, the pic sizes are too big to post on here.

when i reskinned a car i would always cut out the rocker panels and tack weld to doors. then i would pull them out and up and it gave it the stock, but more stream lined look.

i drove down a street last year and saw a guy outside on the curb beating some sheet metal. stopped and watched what he was doing and he said making some side panels..things looked good.. he started with 68 long and 8 wide put a nice concave to it. then fitted it between fender wells. trimmed them to fit, and put flares on the ends. looke almost good enought to put on one of these ricer cars...LOL
