What is you alls most memerable race of the year? We had a car that ran top 5 most of the year and mixed a few wins in on the way. But my favorite race ended up being an 8th place finish. The race ran green to checker non-stop. Started 8th in a invert that inverted the top 10. The car on the outside pole had at least a 3/4 straight away lead on the field before my brother cleared the pack to run him down. Passed him clean in 1 & 2 on lap 8. To lead for a full lap, only to have this same car not lift going into 3 hitting him and spinning them both out. This would have been his first win. Maybe it was just how fast and smooth the car looked on this run that makes it stand out. My favorite none the less.

Mine was in Superior wisconsin. We always run good and HARD down there, but at the beginning of this year, we had car troubled that seamed to haunt us. after chasing stupid engine troubles for 4 weeks we finally got it figured out. They had a special on a monday night called the JW Zembo memorial, so we went down to run the "fastest dirt track in WISSOTA"...

I drew terrible like usual so I started dead last. At the drop of the green, I dropped the hammer and drove like a mad man. In a 8 lap heat race, I got the lead in 5, and pulled a good lead by the finish. OH YEAH! we were on FIRE!! For the redraw in the feature, I drew the biggest number known to man kind, and started 12th. My pit guy new I was really bummed about where we started, but before the race he put the window net up and hit me in the helmet and said "tonight is OUR night, like it, love it, DO IT!!!" **** right! ! ! I got the lead before the half way point and ran away with it..... the rest of the year was just OK, but that night ROCKED!!!!!!!!

the night when i went to leave for the track and the batt was dead in the truck, had driven it around all day no problems but it was deader than a doorknob when it was time to leave, wouldn't take a charge at all, tried 3 diff batteries we had and they were all dead put the orginal back in, jumped it off the battery charger drove to the track left it running in the parking lkot for 45 min while i waited to pay to get in, pulled in my pit spot and shut it off, still dead, bropught the batt charger with me fig i could jump it to leave but the generator wasn't strong enough to use the boost or fast charge so at the end of the night in the rain i had to pull the batt out of the car and put it in the truck to get home,it was one of those nights, don't even remeber how i finished but i made it there and it got me another 10th place overall in points which is the last paying spot.

Tazewell Speedway is one of those holes in the ground where you run around the rim, knowing that if you slow down you will either slide or roll to the bottom! Incredible banking=unreal lap times.
I couldn't make weight and was light after q-fying, but the race director allowed me to run, with the agreement that, no matter where I finished, I'd be paid for last place ($40). At the drop of the green, a field of 16-18 cars lit it up and by the time I got even with the flagstand I had passed one car....a delapidated old Ford who, if he did finish, there would be no one behind him. At that point the outside pole setter spun the pole setter coming off turn two and everyone checked up hard. Well, almost everyone. That racin' fool in the Ford was looking at his hood ornament, talking on his cellphone, drinkin a cold one, and spankin' his monkey--hammer down!!! That two tons of Detroit iron slammed into the rear of my Camaro and turned me straight into the inside wall. My night ended before I ever made it to turn one! Took about a week to re-clip the car and get it ready to go again. I never did go get that $40!
