What do ya think about 1 1/4 front hoop??

Build a "downtube" car like the one in Stock car racing article in 2000 it is a Sleepy Gomez design. I built one and it has been very strong and light weight. Then use 1 1/4" for the hoop off the downtubes.

I build them out of 1 3/4 like the rest of the cage, bring it out from the main cage then downward into the front of the frame like a cup car then use 1" square tube to support the front end for your cruch zones. Eddie

I dont remember the article powerglides.Thanks for the help fellas.I am going to try and build a safe and light car.

Sideways, I can attest for Powerglides. That car took a wicked hit this year and it looked like there wan't much left. He walked away, a little sore but not hurt, The car... well that was back in a couple weeks too. I think I was as amazed as everyone else to see it show up again.

Thanks guys I found it on Stock car racing mag.web site that is a cool looking peice.I even took pics. of it to add to the pile of chassis pic parts I like.Thanks alot guys didnt relize it been that long since that chassis was out.
