Are E5TE or E5AE 302 heads any good? Could you fit 2.02, 1.60 valves in them? Or should I get GT40 heads. I am building a 347 and the rules say stock heads.

If your only alowed "stock heads", how are you going to get away with 2.02 valves or gt40 heads. neither of which is stock for a ford 302. Just wandering

Hey there i think if it said stock head you would want a DOOE or a C-90E. These are 69 or 70 models the best ford made as far as stock and they will fit 1.94 and 1.60 without changing angles. I have a bare set if you want a set for a 100.00. We buy and build these in the winter and sell on Ebay. I dont have a set ready to go though sorry. They are 60cc chamber head with the most flow ford put out. Oh the heads are not bare there just stock with 1.84 and 1.54 in them.

If I ain't mistaken, ain't the gt40p heads stock on the ford explorer with the 5.0 in it. That might be considered stock heads. I think they work real good with the heart shaped chamber that they have. It gets the spark plug more to the center of the cylinder. They also have more water passages in them for better cooling.

Is there anything that can be done to the E7 heads to make them flow? If not Steve where do you live, I am wondering what shipping would be like on heads.

Ok usually on Ebay they run about 65.00 to 80.00 for shipping throygh ups ground. As far as the heads you have they are just heads. If you want power and flow you need gt40 or these. As far as valves we run the 1.94 and 1.60 in these but really i have a set of these on my 70 mustang that are stock valves and ported and i cant see that much difference. But you know we all go for that little more. I would send you a set with good stock valves if thats what you want to run for 175.00 to your door. They will need to be gone through but nothing more than grind seats and check guides. No cracks or anything. If you take and clean up heads and pull valves and put it all back together around here you could get them done for under a 100.00 if it doesnt need guides. We build and seel these done on Ebay for starting price of 350.00 and 499.00 if ported with bigger valves. Just dont have time at the moment to build a set because i have this new car that has to hit the track this year. LOL 505-544-5474 Oh we live in New Mexico.
