Building a new car.
I got ahold of a 1980 camaro with a 229 V6 and a turbo 200 or 250, not sure which.
I want to put a 350 v8 and a turbo 350 in it. Has anyone gone through this, what exactly do I need to change?

-motor mounts, i know then need to be moved, but can i use the same ones?

-do I need a new crossmember for the tranny to bolt onto?

-drive shaft, will i need a different one?

-should i swap out the rear end also?

-also how much more difficult would it be to put a saginaw in it?

Just like 17j said, change the motor mounts to fit the v8 and viola everything should bolt right up, the car I had use to have a 6 cylinder in it and I changed it over, went with the Saginaw 3 speed trans though and have used the power glide once. Eddie

can you set the engine back any? if so just take monts off bolt new mounts on engine. then set engine and trans in car and weld the mounts. you will need to modify or make new cross member and shorten drive shaft, but will increaes rear percentage alot..
