We have a big old buick that runs in our bomber class that has a stock 455 in it and the car keeps up to us. That thing pulls like you wouldnt believe. The car scales in at 3800 in a class that can be 3500. I have ALOT of motor and this darn stock big block gives me a run for my money. I always say "theres no replacement for displacement" but I didnt mean for my compitition to hear it lol. Good luck on the big block.

We have to run stock springs. But you can still take that further. I run a 81 cutlass, My RF spring is out of a 79 Trans Am (cut down), stock left front and right rear, LR is out of a 75 monte. This setup works awesome for me...I started the year so loose i could have ran reverse stagger to tighten it up....i just dropped to zero stagger and used my sway bar to tighten it up by making the LF adjustable...worked good. As for the big buick I have no clue what hes running, I'll run over and check it out and ask him tomorrow night. Our bomber class is all made up of close friends except for one, so no one is hiding anything....cuz we all hang out and BS about our cars and drink beer together lol. I'll let ya know what hes running sunday mornin.
