I am a nubie and am wondering on the best way to start out. I don't even have a car yet but am thinking on either a Monte Carlo of a TransAm.

Best way to get started is to buy a used car, just make sure its safe, at least a 1 3/4 roll cage check all the welds, I myself prefer a car that has been mig welded over stick, SCR did an article on buying a used race car about a year or so ago, if you can find that article it will get you going in the right direction. As for the cages it all depends who you talk to, you can get a cage almost from any motorsports dealer, I myself like the one from Speedway, put one in a 77 Nova and it worked out great. Eddie
